| Community Participation and Development |
Community participation through education is an important constituent of the Satya Bharti School Program. The program provides different means through which community participation is encouraged at its schools. This increased community engagement fosters a bond between the community and the schools. It also teaches children the importance of recognizing one’s roots and giving back to society and. By promoting community participation in schools, the students of the Satya Bharti Schools also become more aware of the issues plaguing the community and work together towards eliminating them.

| Community Partnerships |
Community participation is an integral constituent of the Satya Bharti School Program. Built on a community partnership philosophy, the Satya Bharti Schools integrate community participation as an important constituent of the entire administrative process involved in running the schools.
An amount of more than Rs. 30 lakh has been resourced from the community in the last year in the form of material and monetary donations to the schools.

| Community Volunteering |
It is to encourage and foster a feeling of community commitment and belonging with the Satya Bharti Schools, community members are invited to be a part of school activities on a daily basis. In a recent community volunteer drive, conducted by 6 Young Leaders from Bharti Retail, a Bharti Group Company, more than 1600 volunteers from the community had signed up to take classes at our schools during the summer camp to be held in June 2009. The community volunteers took sessions with the children in local arts and crafts, story telling and music during this time. This has been a very successful initiative for the Satya Bharti School Program.
Objectives:
To expose our students to learning beyond just the curriculum and exposure to various vocations

Inculcating the learnings from this program/exposure into our curriculum

| Community Awareness |
Students and teachers across our Satya Bharti Schools also undertake a lot of community awareness programs to sensitize community members on various issues like child marriage, the importance of education for girls, banning female foeticide.
