November 2009: Bharti Foundation's Satya Bharti Schools emerge as winners at the 'Design for Giving School Contest'

The Design for Giving School contest was a part of the Joy of Giving week (an initiative by Give India Foundation) which was held from 27th Sep to 3rd Oct. The Satya Bharti Schools were one of the very few rural schools participating in this event which was dominated by entries from across urban schools.

February 2009- Hon’ble Union Home Minister launches the Satya Bharti School Program in Tamil Nadu

The Hon’ble Union Home Minister, Mr. P Chidambaram launched the Satya Bharti School program in Tamil Nadu on February 07, 2009. The first Satya Bharti School in the state was inaugurated today by the Hon’ble Minister in Village Sathaarasanpatti, block Siruvayal (Distt. Sivaganga).

February 2009: Bharti Foundation awarded the Social and Corporate Governance Award for Best Practices in Corporate Social Responsibility, 2008 on February 06, 2009

Bharti Foundation, the philanthropic arm of Bharti Enterprises, was awarded the Social and Corporate Governance Award for Best Practices in Corporate Social Responsibility, 2008 on February 06, 2009.
