| Social and Corporate Governance Award |
Bharti Foundation, the philanthropic arm of Bharti Enterprises, was awarded the Social and Corporate Governance Award for Best Practices in Corporate Social Responsibility, 2008 on February 06, 2009. The award was presented by Mr. Arun Arora, Chairman, World HRD Congress and President, Times of India Group at a special ceremony at Taj Land's End, Mumbai, on February 05, 2009. Mr. Manu Talwar, CEO, Mobility, Bharti Airtel Ltd. Maharashtra and Goa, received the award on behalf of Bharti Foundation.
The award was given jointly by Bombay Stock Exchange Limited, Nasscom Foundation and Times Foundation. The Best Corporate Social Responsibility Practice Award recognizes and honours organizations for their contribution to society. Bharti Foundation was declared as one of the nine winners and presented this prestigious award based on its exceptional work in the field of education under the aegis of the Satya Bharti School Program.

| Asian CSR Award |
Bharti Foundation was awarded the Asian CSR Award, 2008 for Support and Improvement of Education in Singapore on November 21, 2008. Presented by Dr. Noeleen Heyzer, Under-Secretary-General of the United Nations and Executive Secretary of Economic and Social Commission for Asia, the award recognizes the Satya Bharti School Program as Bharti Foundation’s contribution and commitment to education of rural communities.
The Asian CSR Awards, co-presented this year by Asian Institute of Management, the Center for Corporate Social Responsibility and Intel Corporation, is Asia's premier awards program on corporate social responsibility. Awarded in five categories, the Awards recognize and honours organizations for their outstanding, innovative and world class projects and programs. Bharti Foundation was chosen as the winner of the Support and Improvement of Education category from among 170 entries representing 120 companies from 15 countries.
Some of the factors that helped Bharti Foundation win the prestigious award for the Satya Bharti School Program initiative are as follows:

The program aims to ensure access to quality education for underprivileged children across the deepest rural pockets of the country and has developed benchmarks for quality education |

The program is a combined model of various building blocks of education like quality teachers, comprehensive training modules, scientifically designed teaching learning processes |

More than 50% of the curriculum followed at the Satya Bharti Schools is based on projects and activities that help children learn through self-exploration and discovery rather than rote learning |

More than 90% of parents of students have reported an overall personality improvement and English language speaking skills in their children |

| Indian NGO Award |
Bharti Foundation, the philanthropic arm of Bharti Enterprises, was awarded the winner in the Regional Winner- Large, (North) category at the Indian NGO Awards 2008. The awards are a joint initiative of Resource Alliance and the Nand and Jeet Khemka Foundation.

| Golden Peacock Award |
Bharti Foundation was awarded the prestigious Golden Peacock Award for Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) for the year 2006 in the NGO category. The winner for the award was chosen by an eminent jury panel chaired by Justice P. N. Bhagwati, former Chief Justice of India and Member of United Nations Human Rights Commission.
The Golden Peacock Award has been instituted to encourage Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives by the Centre for Social Responsibility supported by Institute of Directors (IOD), Centre for Corporate Governance (CFCG) and the World Council For Corporate Governance (WCFCG), UK. The award recognized the initiatives undertaken by Bharti Foundation, primarily in the area of education. Satya Bharti Schools, Bharti Computer Centres (BCC) and Bharti Library & Activity Centres (BLAC) for underprivileged children; Bharti Scholarships in higher education for youth and Bharti School of Telecommunication Technology and Management at IIT-Delhi to develop young Telecom Leaders, were some of the initiatives considered by the eminent jury.
Mr. Badri Agarwal, on the occasion said, “We are extremely delighted to be recognized for our initiatives aimed at providing quality education to underprivileged children. Our vision is to help underprivileged children and young people of our country realize their potential and this award will spur us to broaden and deepen the reach of our activities in the days to come.”
