| Rural Education through the Satya Bharti Schools |
The Satya Bharti School Program is the flagship rural educational initiative of Bharti Foundation. With a goal to establish 500 Primary and 50 Senior Secondary Schools reaching out to over 200,000 children, the program aims to deliver free quality education to underprivileged children across rural India. The aim of this large scale program is to create a replicable, scalable and holistic model of quality education in the country.
This rural education initiative focuses on setting up “temples of learning radiating knowledge and excellence for underprivileged children” in the rural pockets of India. The primary school program works to inculcate sound fundamentals in the child, while the senior secondary school program will provide training for a steady vocation. The overall aim of the rural education program is to develop students from rural areas into well rounded personalities, empowered to step into the world as confident, responsible citizens.

The Satya Bharti School Program currently has two models of implementation. Of the 236 operational Satya Bharti Primary Schools, 187 have been constructed by Bharti Foundation on the land allotted or leased either by the government, panchayats or donors. Additionally, 49 Government Primary Schools have been adopted in Rajasthan.

| Replicability and Scalability of Program |
The Satya Bharti School Program is a 550 school, large scale, replicable project which aims to develop an education model that can be implemented in rural areas and can withstand the roughest grass root level circumstances like lack of infrastructure, quality of teachers, learning levels of the students and the like. Thus establishing our schools in under-developed far flung areas meant that the best of infrastructural help was provided to construct, maintain and renovate our schools towards creating a conducive environment for children. With most children being first generation learners from the bottom of the pyramid, the learning levels were found to be abysmally low. Thus the curriculum has been designed keeping in mind the varying learning levels of children, helping them adapt to child-friendly teaching learning processes.
Satya Bharti School Program adopts a two-pronged approach for implementation. On one hand, Bharti Foundation is establishing its own Satya Bharti Primary Schools, with an aim to reach out to underprivileged children in the remotest corners of the country. On the other hand, Bharti Foundation is adopting existing government schools to improve the quality of education being imparted there. 49 government schools have been adopted in Neemrana and Amer in Rajasthan, reaching out to over 6,000 underprivileged children. By doing this, the model showcases the way for implementation of both new schools and government schools.
